Defining Components of Pattern Entries

Take a look at the intra-day ES (e-mini S&P) screenshot below, and recognize the classical Retest Failure pattern. Remember, not all patterns have the same expected outcome….It is the market structure and volatility that set the likely exhaustion areas and targets. You can see two entries marked up on the charts both providing logical entries from within this pattern in anticipation of a directional change. Our entries into the market are based on statistics as opposed to approach based solely on technical analysis. Volatility ratios, Risk/Reward ratios, Position Sizing and Exits are fully objective and quantified BEFORE trade entry is made.
